Ignore This Poem
Forget what I have to say.
Ignore what you don't want to hear.
My mind isn't going any where
Because there's nowhere to run.
I'm not an idiot contrary to popular belief.
I try my best to rationalize.
Yet subjects are subject to change,
And genius is mistaken for insanity.
Inside-out and up-side-down,
My world hangs in a balance.
But if and when it falls to the ground,
I'll be the one collecting the pieces.
If the world remembers me,
It won't be for what I thought.
They'll remember me for what I did,
Or at least tried to do.
Having original thought is dangerous though.
Speaking out of turn gets you crucified.
But for some the podium never
